Draft — pending legal review. This page describes our current position and intent. It is not a certification and will be refined as our data and analytics capability develops.
AI Safety
Mimir builds hardware and field-data software for drilling and sampling. Where analytics and machine learning become part of that workflow, they are held to the same evidence standard as every other claim we make: attributable, current and approved before it reaches a customer or this website.
01 —
Sampling hardware is a physical tool. Our software is a field-data and workflow platform. Neither is marketed as an AI or machine-learning product today. Where our technology roadmap includes future analytics capability, we say so explicitly and label it as under development — not as a present feature.
02 —
Mimir provides structured field data and documentation. Geological, geotechnical, engineering and safety interpretation remains the responsibility of the customer’s qualified professionals. Nothing we build is designed to make autonomous operational, safety or engineering decisions on a customer’s behalf.
03 —
Field data captured through our software belongs to the customer’s project unless otherwise agreed. Any future use of aggregated or model training data would require clear customer consent and defined terms — not default or implied use.
04 —
We avoid unqualified terms like “AI-powered” or “revolutionary.” Where a capability has not been independently verified, we describe it as designed to, intended to, or under evaluation — consistent with the evidence policy on our Evidence Centre.
05 —
Depth-referenced subsurface sampling technology can be relevant to sensitive or regulated end uses depending on jurisdiction and application. We screen orders for export and jurisdiction clearance as part of qualification, ahead of any commercial commitment.
